01 — Overview
The short version
UNSILENCE does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data — ever. Everything runs entirely on your device. Nothing leaves it.
UNSILENCE is a silent mode reminder app. You set a timer, we remind you to unmute when it ends. That's the entire app. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no internet connection of any kind.
02 — Data Collection
What we collect
| Data type | Collected? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Personal information | None | No name, email, or account required |
| Location data | None | Never requested or accessed |
| Usage analytics | None | No SDKs, no tracking |
| Device identifiers | None | Not accessed |
| Crash reports | None | No third-party crash tools |
| Timer preferences | On-device only | Stored locally, never transmitted |
03 — Notifications
How notifications work
UNSILENCE uses iOS local notifications to remind you to unmute your phone. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No notification content is sent to any external server.
You can revoke notification permission at any time in Settings → UNSILENCE → Notifications. The app will still function — you just won't receive the reminder.
04 — Third Parties
Third-party services
UNSILENCE uses no third-party services, advertising networks, analytics tools, or SDKs of any kind. There are no integrations that could collect data on our behalf.
05 — Children
Children's privacy
Since UNSILENCE collects no data from anyone, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.
06 — Changes
Policy updates
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version of UNSILENCE adds features that involve data — we will update this page and the "Updated" date in the header above. We will never collect data without updating this policy first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions
Make sure notifications are enabled for UNSILENCE. Go to Settings → UNSILENCE → Notifications and ensure "Allow Notifications" is turned on. Also check that Focus modes or Do Not Disturb aren't silencing the app.
Yes. UNSILENCE uses iOS local notifications, which are scheduled with the system when you start a timer. The reminder will fire even if the app is closed — iOS handles delivery entirely on-device.
Currently UNSILENCE supports single-use timers. Each timer needs to be set manually. Recurring or scheduled reminders may be added in a future update.
No. UNSILENCE works entirely offline. It requires no internet access to function and makes zero network requests. Your data never leaves your device.
Open UNSILENCE and tap the cancel button on the active timer. This will remove the scheduled notification so you won't receive a reminder.
